Just as a matter of pj interest, I was wondering which ORS cream is better the olive oil or the carrot oil one? I hear they are changing the formula on the olive oil cream; when companies change formulas that always makes me nervous. :look:

I just thought it would be interesting to hear everyone's experiences with these products should I get that pj itch again and want to pick up one of these babies up.

I really like what the Carrott Oil did for my hair. I just didnt care for the smell.

I really like the Olive Oil also. I didnt know they were changing the forumla on it.

But to answer you.....The Olive Oil. :)

Oooh, thanks Letita. I know a lot of girls use that one. I am a little worried though if I get it and they change the formula and I don't like the new one as much. I think ahead, I know it's weird. :perplexed

I have been down that road before, with the whole formula change of Profectiv Break Free. In a pj's life, some sort of consistancy is necessary. :look:

I like the ORS olive oil creme better. Both of the olive oil cremes, the old mineral oil one and the new mineral oil free one, work well. Blindfold you, and you would not be able to tell the formulations apart I promise.;) They smell the same, look the same, feel the same, etc. So I say yes to both olive oil creme (jar) versions.

I never liked the ORS olive oil lotion (bottle), though. :nono:

The ORS carrot oil creme seems gummier than the olive oil and smells a little off to me. :look: I won't replace it once the jar is finished. I can't take the smell.:ohwell:

I like the carrot oil better. The olive oil (in the jar) says it's supposed to be for dry hair, but it just made my hair drier and greasy. The olive oil in the bottle is okay, but I still vote for the carrot oil.

When I suffered from dry hair, I used the ORS olive oil (jar)and loved it. The bottled version was perfect for my braidouts.

Now that I'm successful maintaining moisture, the carrot oil is best, especially after a press.

I would have to say the olive oil. I've never tried the carrot oil but I know that I love the olive oil cream. It's the only thing as of now that moisturizes my nape area. I recently mixed the olive oil cream with MN and I love the way it makes my scalp feel.

Everything she said.

@OnceUponATime- I like the olive oil lotion (bottle) for setting dry hair like for braidouts as well.

@Alli- The olive oil in the bottle is a lotion whereas the jar is a different cream.

just came from sally's. unfortunately, the didn't have the ors olive oil w/out the mineral oil. both the jar and the bottle had mineral oil so i didn't get them. just got shaky. my elasta qp recovery oil has mineral oil and i have no problem with it so i don't know why i got scurred....lolol probably because africa's best olive oil didn't work out. the ors carrot oil smells like dirty hair so i didn't get that...even though the ingredients made me want it. lololol

I like the carrot oil it's not as greasy as all the other moisturizers I've used and it works wonders on my daughters hair

Ya'll are crazy @ pink and sista! i was rolling at peppermint funk. lol

I checked out the Carrot Oil cream tonight at Rite Aid and read the ingriedients and liked them. Then I took a whiff and oh boy! That was enough to satisfy my pj curiousity. Plus I didn't feel like shelling out $7 for it either. :ohwell:

I like them both, but I have to say that the olive oil leaves my hair so soft and shiny so I'm leaning more toward the olive oil.

The carrot creme is great for me. I use it as a setting lotion. It locks in my curls and leaves my hair nice and soft. As for the smell...I haven't smelled it yet, but I'm a person that isn't bothered by MTG....so.. I will be trying the olive oil in a jar. I don't care whether it has mineral oil or not, my hair digs mineral oil. I love the whole ORS line. It truly has helped me in the past to repair and enhance my hair and I hope the same for the present.:yep:

The Olive Oil in a jar does absolutely nothing for my hair, so I have to vote for the Carrot Oil hands down: great ingredients, great results!
