Organic, Conventional, or Both?

Which brand name products work best for your hair: organic, conventional, or both?

definitely both. At first I was purely organic/natural....but then i noticed my hair needs some type of cone. Plus i couldn't get rid of my Herbal Essence conditioners and their fragrances!!

I try to use only organics. But I'm transitioning so I use dangerouly straight as a comb out for the slip. If I ever BC I could probably use just the afro detangler but as it stands I use convention for straight styles and detangling but I'm like 80% organic/natural products. And I agree, cones are great!

I use both

I find all types of goodies at Whole Foods - coconut oil and other oils, Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose, Essential Oils, honey, Aloe Vera Juice/Gel. I also love to use butters instead of grease.

I also love commercial products like Suave coconut conditioner, Lustrasilk deep conditioners, regular shampoo's, etc.

I won't use something simply because its organic. It has to make my hair look nice, not cost me my first born, and provide slip.

I'm sooooooo trying to use organic but joico works sooooooooo much better. And conventional SMELLS so much better too. Its a toss up right now. Currently i am Dcing with smthg organic and then using a salon brand to detangle - kinda like a rinse. Its working for me so far - best of both worlds, hopefully one doesnt cancel out the other -lol

I chose both. Some of my organic & conventional faves are:

Organic: Karen's Body Beautiful Deep Conditioner, Jane Carter Solution Revitalizing Leave-In, Karen's Body Beautiful Hair Oil

Conventional: V05 Kiwi Lime Squeeze Clarifying Shampoo, Aphogee 2-Min.

Both. I cant get with the organic shampoos :ohwell:. They are always drying and there is never enough slip. I tend to go more organic with conditioners and other hair cocktails that i make :yep: (jojoba oils, coconut oils, honey, etc.) i love organic products.

For the organic shampoos, try using them while the conditioner is still in your hair. That's how I use my organic shampoo. I can't use it on my hair by itself b/c it's too concentrated.

So far, I'm loving the V05 Moisture Milks conditioners (conventional) mixed with Amla or Vatika oils (natural). Since I started doing that I'm finding that my hair is ALOT easier to detangle!:gorgeous:

I use whatever works. Meaning both. I'm not going to choose a side because in the end, my hair makes the ultimate decision :yep:

Both my hair can go with either. I would like to use mostly organic but I really hate having to order my staples
