Has anyone tried this yet. I saw that my stylist had this new type of relaxer from Optimum, it was in a big purple tub. I was wondering how this worked compared to the lye regular version..

Beverly, I don't know; but I do know that they had very few of the "old" bottles left on the shelves at my local Sally's, which were all on sale for 2.99 -- I wonder if this is the reason, perhaps they've selling only their newest formula. Please keep us posted!

Thanks TC for that info. That must be whats happening because when I went to sally's I did not see any of the optimum lye on the shelf either, but I didn't see the new low PH lye formula either, but I didn't consider the fact that they may be replacing there forumula. I will let you know, I am about to try in when its time for my next touchup

Do you use Optimum?

I have seen the new formula's in the Asian BSS. The conditioner is interesting...it is activated by your body heat. There is also a setting lotion. I haven't seen the cream hairdress yet. You can view the entire line at Payne's Beauty Supply.

I know they have some down here that are in a brown jar. I will check it out when I go to Sally's next time.

i looked at this for a long time when i went to buy my motions relaxer.
when i looked at the ingredients i didnt get it bc it had sodium hydroxide and calcium or lithium hydroxide. it was some combo i'd never heard of and didnt want to experiment with. lol
i meant to ask you guys about it but i forgot.
