OMG: Everyone must read this thread: I found a LHCF member out of the blue!

Well I actually introduced a coworker to this site and since then, we have developed a friendship Before we found a mutual interest in hair , we would casually speak and occassionaly carry on conversation. Once she began visiting this site and discovering the proper techniques to maintain growth, her hair has been flourishing!!!! You go girl!!!!

Anyways, this initally, it was this site that caused us to talk so much (about hair), but then we discovered we had many more of the same interests. Her hair is indeed healthy and growing very well. Maybe she'll post soon.

Oh, I did get upset at her for mentioning this site to my supervisor ** the hell was you thinking girl** I only mention this site to people I want to have healthy hair (meaning those I like), not the others Yep, I'm kinda mean at times

This happened exactly a week ago. I was in the crackhouse.....I mean....beauty supply store .I was looking for eyelashes for my aunt's party, and a lady comes up to me and she's like "Excuse me, are you a model?" And I was like "yeah....?" I thought it was just going to be a regular person reminding me of how tall I am, but she was looking at me really hard and I was starting to get scared , until she said "It's me, ........... from LHCF! I recognised you from those modelling pictures you always put up!" We were up in there screaming and hugging and laughing, it was priceless. The Korean lady was looking at us like we were crazy or something. I loved it, it was so cool to meet another LHCF lady! And hi there lady, you know yourself!

So funny! LOL! LOL! crack house!!!!!

I think a co-worker is hear. For the last couple of months she was bunning everyday. Then she had a curly sew in. Then she busts out with a fresh relaxer and color. Now she's back to what I think is a lacefront. I want to ask soooooo bad.

AWWW HUSH MARIE! I should have known you would be baiting me to do it! But how do you ask? She's not really a co-worker. We work on the same floor. I only see her in the hallways and don't have any interaction with her. And I don't think this is the proper venue. CRL: "excuse me, are you a member of LHCF?" CO-WORKER: "what the H*** is a LHCF?"

I haven't met anyone either but I have seen some ladies who I wanted to ask. I think the easiest way would be to compliment the woman on her hair, ask her how she takes care of it, and then ask how did she learn to properly take care of her hair? If says something about being online then that may be the right moment to say "LHCF"? I think I'll try it next time.

Yeah but how many of us would openly admit to frequenting or retreiving our hair knowledge from LHCF? I mean I have friends that I've wanted to refer to the forum but I was afraid they''d think I was a bit and obsessed

Yes I saw a woman that was part of the marine corps wearing her hair up in a bun.It must have been at least BSL and looked so healthy... I wanted to ask her so bad if she was a member.
Another time I saw DivineInspiration in SF at the Fisherman'sWharf(sp/),I kept circling around here trying to get the courage to compliment her on her hair till she just smiled at me... I was so embarassed and backed off then.
Gorgeous hair btw- I loved it!

Okay, so I'm sitting in here browsing the forum and guess what? A LCHF member walks up to me and says, "Wow, I really love your braids! They are so pretty."

This is the first time someone has ever said something like that to me, so I'm looking like, "Really?"

I say thank you. So then she asks how long have I had them in and I say, "Since September 5." She then sees what site I'm on and says, "Your on long hair care forum." I say, "Yes." And I am looking like, "How does she know about LCHF." So we are so happy and everything cause when does this usually happen? Not everyday. So we exchanged usernames and everything.

Has this ever happened to someone else?

I have noticed one of the girls at my schools hair get increasingly more beautiful and healthy since we've been here for the past three years. Lately, I've noticed she's been wearing her hair either bunned or roller set. This leads me to believe that shes been browsing the forums because her hair looked nothing like that when we started out three years ago. I havent gotten the nerve to ask her about it yet though! lol Maybe I've found another LHCF diva
