Old stylists hating on my transition?

I was talking to my old stylist about my transition and how I was at 5 months post. She sounded shocked and said "your hair isn't breaking?". I said no. I have been really good at detangling and wearing protective styles. She mentioned the breakage comment two more times to my chagrin. Now mind you she was one of them in that shop. I mostly saw her mother, but gracious. Can you have some faith that I can take care of my hair.

Ok this is where I don't understand what you are saying.

Do I think you can take care of your own hair? Yes, you have been doing a good job so far, why would you need someone that doesn't honor your belief?

Its hard for some stylists to realize that we can take care of our hair without weekly trips to the salon. Keep up the good work.

What I was trying to say is that she knows me and my hair. She should have realized that whether or not I'm relaxed that Im going to take care of my hair. Furthermore, I won't do ANYTHING to damage it. Just shocked she would forget that....
Hope that makes more sense.

Oh I'm sorry, my brain has been a little slowwww all day. Anyway, she may be a little upset about the fact that you will not be spending anymore money for the relaxed hair. She will lose money since you are transitioning.

I am transitioning too. I haven't been to a salon in years....I'll just leave it at that.

Don't pay her or anyone else any attention. You know what you are doing. 5 months into your transition? You go girl!

Bottom line! If most of her clients decided to transition or to stretch out their relaxers, she would be in the poor house.

Yeah they don't like this one bit. Back in my perming days when my stylist found out that I was stretching my relaxers she literaly had an attitude with me, so I can really see where you are coming from.
