I have tried them both.

The look (basically) the same. Smelled the same.

I guess I just felt some kind of way about the order of the Ingredients being re-organized.

I should have invested in a Gallon. A former member kept trying to talk me into investing in a Gallon, and I didn't.

I've been fortunate enough to still find some of the 'Original' Formula.

And I just started DC'ing with it. And I like it that way.

I have used both, and my hair prefers the old formula. The new formula seems like a light protein, whereas the old formula was a stronger one. I only need to apply a little of the old formula every other day to get the results I want. I had to apply the new formula every day, and it didn't work as well.

I've used both, and new formula isn't as strong and doesn't grow the hair as fast. I found a bottle of old formula and noticed the difference immediately. Thankfully we found work arounds in the challenge thread...once I run out of old formula, I know how to rig the new formula to get the same growing results. Still giving props to JeterCrazed for her research.

I just got some last week. How can I tell if it is the new or the old formula?

I've only tried the old formula and will never try the new one. My sister has tried them both and prefers the old formula. She says it looks and smells the same but her hair feels different with the new one. It felt better with the old one. Protein was stronger.

If the bottle is decorated with tropical flowers, its new formula If it's nothing but blue lettering on a black bottle, it's old formula

Can you tell us how to do it or where to find out how?

Boooooo! So disappointed! I guess I will try Nioxin...any thoughts on that or another suggestion?

This is the thread for JeterCrazed's mixology: http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=590747 She had some good good research. :yep:

For mine, I've added back the Keratin that I purchased from http://www.gardenofwisdom.com/home.html. I've also added MSM to my mix. When I start using the new formula, I also plan to add SAA's.

My new mix contains: Old School MT, Aphogee 2 step, Keratin protein, amino acids, MSM, Aussie 3 min miracle, Bentonite clay (to keep it from being too watery, and to add silica), and Avlon Affirm 5 in 1 Reconstructor. I do an overnight DC with this weekly. My hair Loves protein, and I do a Ton of moisture during the week. In this way I get to stretch that bottle of old school MT, but even when I run out I'll just add the extra SAA's to boost up the new formula.

Nioxin Recharging Complex did wonders for my hair as well, but it's been discontinued. :cry2: I used both MT, and Nioxin, and got some Crazy growth. I will Nevah! give up on MT...I'll just add back all the good stuff.

ETA: All the thickness and growth from June of last year to now is due to MT, and Nioxin.

I feel like I got duped. I ordered off a website that had a picture and an ingredients list of the old formula. I just received my package and lo and behold its the new formula.

According to them, the formula has not changed

http://www.arcatapet.com/item.cfm?cat=6694

Some of the Eqyss products have recently had their labels, ingredient wording, and order of ingredient listing changed. This has caused speculation that the products are not the same and/or are not as effective as they used to be; however this is not true. Eqyss products have NOT changed their ingredients for over 21 years. The wording was changed to facilitate sales in international markets and the order of ingredient listing was changed to reflect the amount of the ingredient relative to other ingredients. Eqyss has published a letter explaining this, which you can view by clicking here

Hey ladies,

Just PM'd JeterCrazed and she's up for making a new batch if 5 of us want to get in on the action. Oh Megatek! Why though?

Any takers?
Anyone who has used the mixologist's carefully hand-crafted MT want to testify?
