Hey Ladies,

I have been natural for 34 years. I have had a relaxer once in my life and then decided to cut it out.
Now, I am contemplating texurizing. I know this is a relaxer as welll. (Left on for 10 mins.)
As a Fitness trainer I am constantly sweating, drenching my hair. I do conditioning washes almost everyday. As of right now I have no problems with my hair . My growth is wonderful, edges full. I maintain softenss and elasticity using Dabur Vatika hair oil, Emu oil, and Sesame Oil. But, I must admit the comb through can be very tiresome everyday.
My problem is that I would like a little more variation in style and more definition with curls. I am type 4a. I frequently do twist out, braid outs. I pull my hair up and tie an array of beautiful scarfs around my hair .
What do you ladies think? Are there any type 4a texturize ladies that can give advice?
Thank you

I think texturizing is probably the best thing for those who workout frequently, because your hair will always look good. Everytime it gets wet, the curls with bounce back. I have gotten so many PMs and questions about texturizing that I am going to make a guide in one long post - will try to do it by week's end.

I'll have to concur with the ladies here.....your hair is too cute. I am debating texturizing my hair...but I think I have too many textures for it to turn out right...I could see some coming out straight others perfect :-(

All Ive ever known is hot combs and relaxers, so can sumone please explain to me what a texturizer does?

Btw your hair is lovely.

Thanx!
