Anyone tried it? Know a black market where I can get it? :sekret:

It's supposed to be like a relaxer but uses pinapple enzymes or something or other to straighten. It's supposed to give the look and feel of a relaxer and last until your next wash. It sounds like about 99 steps is only available to stylists but I wanna try it! Heat straightening alone is not an option for me as it takes forever and lasts less than a day.

Anyone who's heard of, tried, can tell me how to get or can get me this product your feedback would be greathly appreciated.

I don't think I can help you out much. I've only ever seen this product at the Bronner Bros. hair show and you had to have a cosmetology license to purchase it. My girlfriend purchased a kit about a year ago (at the show), but after using it she was not impressed. She thought it gave no different results than pressing or flatironing her hair.

My hairdresser used to use "Lustrasilk Hair Culture Solution." You can buy it in the beauty supply. You use this after shampooing on wet hair. Then don't use ANY other product (no oil or grease). It gives you a feather light press that lasts about 3 WEEKS. The only drawback is that it smells like vinegar when you first spray it on. By the way, no chemicals in it.

I saw it at the natural hair show a couple of years ago- it just looked like a pressing system to me. They actually offered to press my hair for free using the system but I got my hair twisted instead. Never heard of anyone that actually used it. The only pressing system that I've heard of people get good results is from D. Low products and nowadays a good flatiron would probrably give you just as good results. If you do try it let us know how it works for you.

I've seen this in the regular asian BSS , Sally's, as well as a few grocery stores. If you are talking about the ORS demi boxed relaxer...it isn't just available to stylist

This is not a relaxer. It's a different product all together but is also made by ORS. There's a picture on the link.

Thanks! I saw those I was hoping for from new input. I guess noone has had too much experience or interest in this stuff.

My sister used this expensive thermal straightening system on her 4a newgrowth for the past 7 weeks. ORS claims that after 6 treatments the hair should rfemain straighter, however this didn't happen, the following day after she performed each enzyme treatment her roots reverted. This system only can soften texture with the addition of heat, for the hair to remain straight it will have to contain a chemical to rerarrange the bonds of the hair or be burnt straight with something like a marcel iron. I think you'd probably better off buying a pressing creme and just pressing the hair.

I know it's not supposed to be permanent, I don't want permanent (otherwise I'd get a relaxer) but pressing my hair alone does not WORK! At least not when I do it. My hair is very resistant and reverts like crazy. When I was relaxed I still pressed my hair. That was the only time I could get my hair straight. I just want something to make it last at least a couple of days so it would make all the work and heat worth it. Just to do every few months or so for a change.

I might have to try one of these pressing greases everybody's talking about and put it to work with my maxiglide but I don't like to press with anything 'cause I want my hair to move. Anything light enough that won't weigh it down does nothing to hold the press either. aaahhh dilemma dilemma

Girl I feel you. I just broke my comb attachment on my blowdryer this morning. My hair is so thick and reverts so quickly. There is not such thing as pressing my hair quickly, so after spending all that time it would be nice if it lasted a few days (without loads of grease). If you find out the secret please let me know!

oh okay...I've never seen that. I'd thoroughly research it first though..remember the RIO fiasco.

Been there done that. I've been researching for over a year. I know all I need to know except how to get it :lachen:

not to be "funny" or anything, but if you want straight hair, why don't you just perm? I mean, I remember the "rio" that made so many people's hair fall right out. There was another "natural relaxer" that was sold, but I don't remember the name.In any event, it wasn't natural at all. It was a no lye relaxer based on what the ingrediants were, and what they did to the hair when mixed together w/ water. What I do remember is that all thoes who tried the so called "natural" relaxers had horrible experiences.

Because as I mentioned, I don't want straight hair. I only want to be able to wear my hair straight as an occassional option and heat alone doesn't do it. I thought I made that clear in my previous posts  The product is NOT a permanent relaxer, natural or otherwise. It does not permanently change you hair texture. It only lasts from wash to wash. Major difference.

My braider has used this on her daughter's hair and it came out nice. She said that it's supposed to last about six weeks but she stressed to me that washing your frequently breaks it down and makes your hair revert quicker. She also told me that she'd have to use a lot of heat on my hair. I think that if I want my hair straight that I'll press it or throw in a sew in.
