First and foremost, thanks for the update!!!!! I guess my not so subtle "threat" tactics paid off, because everyone is updating their Fokti now!!! CHIA!!!!!

Secondly, Khandi your hair does NOT look THAT bad!! The pic of it curled/rollerest was beautiful! Thick, silky, and full. But yeah.... i feel u on the thin ends in the straight-haired picture. *sigh* It seems that the longer my hair gets, the thinner the ends.... even tho i protect them more often than not, moisturize/seal, etc. Its the nature of the beast, i guess. Thats the oldest part of our hair, and for many of us its remnants of the days when we used to overprocess and/or abuse our hair. So yeah, as painful as it is, we eventually have to get rid of those ends.

But nevertheless, your hair is still growing really great!!! At least you know thats not a problem for you. You are close to BSL, and will probably be there by the end of the year..... and when you do trim in 07, you'll quickly catch back up, and you'll be so happy with how it looks. No fears!!!

You know I did have a pretty bad case of Post Partum Shedding and a good amount of breakage as well.. But 2 weeks ago was the first time I blowdried my hair since June of this year, so I was expecting more progress and better health, but.. all in all Im happy , my hair looks thick and Im starting fresh in the 07

Now If I can get a Rollerset Down I will be soooooo good

Khandi, you're doing a great job. We all have those "hair moments" I'm having one right now also. I just relaxed my hair yesterday after a 13 week stretch and the right nape has broken off about 1 1/2 inches from the rest. Now its starting to look thin again. I wanted to chop, but I'm going to wait a little longer. (I'm still snipping though....... )

I'm concentrating on rollersetting my hair every 4 to 5 days for 13 weeks and hopefully everything will even out again. Keep the faith.

I prob wont be as obsessive next year since I am mainly focusing on health.. Im going to drop out of the midback 2007 challenge and join the brastrap 07

My hair is alot stronger, but it did take a while after that PPS, My next measure will be around December 17th .. so we will see where Im at , I will go to a pro for this cut though, I will dust myself but I dont want to screw a "big chop" like this up

You know, I stopped using it for a couple of weeks to use Pantene's Breakage Defense leave in. It made my hair airdry faster. But, my hair STARTED breaking after I used it the 4th time. Maybe too much protein? Well, I went back to the Smoothing Comb In Treatment last night and realized, I need to get some where a sit down and stop trying to use new stuff. My hair is so soft and moisturized today.

Wine and a relaxer touchup - sounds like my kinda party!!!!

I should have done a more suttle brown, cuz although it looks good in pictures, it was like BAM when you saw me in person

If I ever did it again, It would be more of a medium brown .. my hair doesnt hold dark color, believe it or not I premanately colored my hair black like 3 months ago and there is no sign of it anywhere in my hair

To tell the truth, the pic of your hair curled is the same length it would be if you chopped off the ends ...so I think you won't miss those ends at all -- you'll be able to wear it lightly curled under or even in a straight wrap and won't have to camouflage.
