i'm not sure, but Aubrey Organics makes swimmer's shampoo and conditioner. Back when i was on the boards originally in 2003, a few women used this with success, esp the conditioner.
I would wet my hair first in the shower. Then apply tons of cheap conditioner (suave ocean breeze is my favorite summer scent) to my hair. I make sure I put my hair in a pony and then I go swimming.
When I get out of the pool, I rinse my hair in the shower and then use neutralzing shampoo (too poor to buy clarifying shampoo) or just use some conditioner.
I have heard that Ion (sally's brand) has a swimmers shampoo and conditioner. Check the board for reviews.
I love swimming, and since I have access to a pool in my apartment, I do it all the time also! Good luck!
Thanks so much for this thread. I wanted to find out the same thing.
I did that same thing when I went to the pool this week. Glad to know that I am doing the right thing.
