Thanks Everyone! I am in awe of my natural hair. When I cut it I was just staring at it like :babyb:. I have always had relaxed hair and never knew what my natural hair looked like. One time a couple of years ago I was toying with the idea of going natural. And a sister from the company I use to work at walked up to me and said "you should visit my stylist so she can straighten your roots". And all of the other black women who were her friends snickered. I will admit...it bothered me and I went and got my hair relaxed. I am ashamed of myself for that. This girl had a STINKY weave. I think weaves can be GREAT, and i have had some, but hers smelled like doo doo. So, who is she to make fun of my roots!

Anyway, what I have noticed so far about being natural, my hair seems to be stronger. When I was relaxed and blow dried/flat ironed my hair, there would be hair EVERYWHERE! in the sink...on the floor...everywhere! Since being natural, there is maybe one piece of hair that falls in the sink...it's like :yay:. I can run my hands thru my hair and nothing falls out. Did anyone else have positive suprises about their natural hair?

Your hair is beautimous!

Yes! I was surprised that it was so easy to take care of! I was expecting it to be an arduous journey because of all of the negative things people would say about natural hair and so far it's been so easy. I'm a little limited on styling since I'm still in a twa phase but I'm loving it!

Congrats on your BC!!! I know you're happy.
Your curls/waves are lookin good!
I like it straightened too. Looks body-full

Congratulations! I'm so happy to see how pleased you seem to be about chopping.
No I don't think it looks unprofessional at all. You have a beautiful head of hair.

Try it with some head bands or a purr and a flower for work.

I think they were all just shocked at the change.

Exactly. I thought "Oh no...how am i gonna deal with natural hair, since it's so HARD". It's been really easy so far.

I am looking foward to having more hair. The TWA is very limited, huh. I wish my wash and go hair was as long as my straightened hair. :ohwell: I am massaging my hair like a maniac trying to stimulate growth. :bouncegre

Thanks, Mook. I went out and bought a bunch of headbands. I think it's about ME becoming comfortable in my shorter hair too.

congrats on your bc, that is major growth for just 9 months!
nevertheless, it looks beautiful both curly and straight

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can do my hair at night and the next morning it still look good? I was doing wash and go's at night and the next morning when I would wake up my hair would look like :nono:. So, I was having to jump in the shower before work and start over. I really don't want to have to do my hair in the morning. I am not a morning person.

I tried rewetting my hair in the morning with a spray bottle and oil, but i noticed it didn't look as nice as when i did it fresh. And my hair is too short to do braidouts/twistouts. Any ideas?

Thanks!

BEAUTIFUL!!!! all these BC's going on.....I must resist..lol! :)

You retained a lot of length too!

Thanks. What's funny, before I BC'd I thought my hair was going to be shorter. I guess you really don't know what your hair will look like until you cut off the relaxed part.

I agree with everyone else, you hair is gorgeous!! I love the thickness and curl pattern. Yes, your co-workers don't know what to think, they're just shocked right now. :yep: I would rock the curly look again and still be myself, they will come around in time and then have a million "how to" questions for you. Hang in there!
