amla oil is good. jojoba is similar to the sebum your scalp produces.

if you do a search, I'm sure you'll find a lot of information.

Simplest suggestion: olive oil and/or jojoba oil with rosemary essential oil.

Commercial suggestions: Crown Heights Oil from HerbnLife. Available in some stores and online. She has a myspace page as well.

Essential Oil Blend for Hair Growth

1. Thyme essential oil - 2 drops
2. Atlas cedarwood essential oil - 2 drops
3. Lavender essential oil -3 drops
4. Rosemary essential oil -3 drops
5. Jojoba oil - ½ teaspoon
6. Grapeseed oil - 4 teaspoons

Add the first four ingredients into a small glass jar. Mix well. Now add the remaining two ingredients. Mix thoroughly.

Massage this mixture into your scalp for at least two minutes every night. Wrap your head in a warm towel after treatment.

An effective blend of essential oils works overtime to purify and stimulate your scalp. The 4 pounds of plant oils in this treatment are a cure for an array of problems, including weak, anemic hair, hair loss, dandruff, dry or oily scalp, itchy scalp and poor circulation, while producing strong, vital hair from within.

Increases circulation, purifies scalp
Stimulates the hair bulb
Regulates sebum production
Strengthens anemic hair

I have grapeseed oil, safflower oil, tea tree oil, rosemary oil, palm kernel oil, red palm oil, castor oil, olive oil, rosemary oil and coconut oil. I love oils now. Think castor oil, virgin red palm oil and virgin palm kernel oil will be my staples soon.

I like emu oil but it's expensive. Coconut leaves softness and absorbs well. Africa's Best Uttimate Herbal Oil (1.94 8oz Walmart) is light and full of good things - Castor seed oil, jojoba oil, carrot oil, walnut seed oil ad vitamin e to name a few:)

You can get Weleda from a health food store like Whole Foods or possibly the Vitamin Shoppe. I got my phyto purchase from Sephora :) The Weleda is definitely cheaper than the Phyto product but i guess they serve different purposes. Phyto has a stimulating effect and smells like Vicks Vapor rub because of the menthol.

These are the oils that I have been using. I just found them at this store here in Nashville. the lady makes all kinds of product for hair and skin and they are great. All her products are natural and these particular oils smell GREAT!!:p
