Oil rinsing before rollersetting? Anyone

Just wondering has anyone ever oil rinsed then washed the oil out with conditioner and then proceeded to rollerset? If so was the hair too weighed down without shampoo? How were your results? Also what oil did u use?

Always!!! I dont use shampoo. so on wash days I pre poo with Ojon restorative treament, co wash, deep condition and rollerset. My hair is never heavy or weighed down.

Sounds like something I need to try. I'm always looking for ways to add moisture.

I tried and my hair came out so greasy ... i had to wash it over the next day but ... im guessing that was because i had a fresh relaxer.. if i was post relaxer i bet you my new growth would have absorbed it all up... so if u relax and its a fresh relaxer dont use as much and see what happens

I forgot to add: I also use jojoba oil if im not useing Ojon.

I have tried it.

Pics are in my fotki. The result is hair that stays moisturized. Just use a light oil if you don't want it oily. I have coarse hair so the extra oil didn't bother me.
