I am so down.
I attempted the TMS tonight and this is the best 'straigthenness' I could achieve - after the use of a comb attachment followed by denman. Please see my before and after shots.
I definitely prefer the straighter look and would use a relaxer or even texturizer this evening if I had one but I infer that it's not advised.
I stopped relaxing in the past since a section in the back of my head kept breaking.
Is all this extra heat worth it? Should I relax my hair to just have better manageability? I went to a hair salon and got it blow dried and trimmed on Saturday. The results were awesome however as soon as I touched the atmosphere frizz appeared. I don't have time for that nonsense.Never mind several hours trying to straighten overly zealous curly hair.
Additionally, it seems to me that the 4a, type 3 hair types upwards probably have an easier curl pattern to manage . I come across several youtube videos and most who attain super slickness without relaxing have a more moist hair type, ie now 4c...

Sigh...

I get the best blowdrys with a styler.. When my hair is longer I'll use my chi blowdryer again.
Here is the styler I use: Conair Infiniti Pro

I think its all about technique (small sections etc) and I make sure that my hair is really nice and conditioned before blowdrying.

How long have you been natural?

I lightly blowdry with every wash.. which can range from 2-4 times a month.
