Hello ladies,

I want to get a full head weave but, after looking through out the internet, I can't seem to find one that is trust worthy or highly recommend. 4a/b natural btw

I saw 2 or 3 names that we're constantly repeated, but they were over 300+ dollar range.I forgot how expensive weaves can be.

Queen of the Wink, was one of them. But after checking out the website. and read comments about that place. I dont want use my hold day to be in there.

Do you have any stylists that you would recommend. I wanted to get an install ASAP. So far, I'm kinda of a complete noob, my first and last weave was around 2006. And the end result it thinned my hair out. and it looked like I hand a helmet head.

And I would like to wear a weave. Just to protect my hair in the mean while. Any places you can recommend would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much

Thanks for responding. Have you ever done your hair by any of them before?

Check out Anya in Brooklyn: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Anya-Styles-Weaves-Wigs/110678165661868

Also you can look into Poochie in Queens. She used to work at Queen of the Wink and has done weave installs for members on LHCF. http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&...=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=6a65f7b148ffc91d

Jenny Lind is based in the Bronx: http://www.google.com.jm/search?hl=...khairmedia.com+jenny+lind&aq=f&aqi=&aql=f&oq=

4-something natural checking in!

Celina in Brooklyn is good. I was an older customer/student, so I think she had mercy on me and gave me a lower price. It was 220 including a really good tip and the style lasted 3 months. That's rare for me b/c... I rarely wrap my hair. I know, I know, bad me.

She has a website, it was weavediva or something. If you go to her, it's worth getting high quality hair you can use over and over again, otherwise the style might outlast the hair.

I have her number in my old phone.

Also, Brenda (on youtube) is in ny and travels. She did my weave once and I loved it. She has daughters and she braids like my mamma. I'm tenderheaded! My hair looked great and only costed 99! I have her number too, but it's hard to get in touch with her sometimes.

Feel free to pm me if you want their numbers. They're cells.

I haven't but I know of quite a few people who've gone to all 3. Anya will be doing my hair when I go to NYC this summer.

Reviews are always great for Anya and Poochie. Jenny Lind is fairly new to me.

^_^ am I blind... I cant find her contact info. Do I need to friend her on facebook to get more info?

Lol. awww no. What did you do after that

I started doing them on my own. My sister used to do them and they always looked great, so i just followed her method. I practiced on mannequin heads first.

I keep seeing good reviews about celina so i think i'm going to try her. I keep hearing about poochie but never could find the right info.

Cherry at "Sweet Sensations" at 4242 White Plains Rd. (2 or 5 train). She doesn't use that cheap wool/cotton thread from BSS, but she does cut the tracks. Vertical braids were done (by assistant) and not tight at all. No roughness or pain and hair is retaining length like a mug and only cost $100 too :)
