I see this listed as a light/mild protein in articles and wanted to know what ingredient in it is protein?

Trimethylsilylamodimethicone is not a protein. (this was mentioned as a light protein on HT in response to the protein question) It's a silicone product designed to put film on hair. It and all of the other oxanes and ceteryls and stearamidopropyl are silicones and emollients. I don't think that NTM has any protein in it.
If you go to http://www.cosmeticsinfo.org you can search any of the ingredients listed on the jar to get complete info. NTM seems to be mainly consisted of silicone and other emollients. Protein? I don't think so but I could be wrong. :look:
