I know, I've used it at the Dominican Salon, but at home it is amazing! Plenty of room for all my gray rollers, the air flow is fabulous!

The guy at Petrucelli said the air flow of the 514 is stronger than the 512. I'm sure with this new investment and following the hair tips from macherieamour my hair is on its way to recovery!

Congrats vevster!!!

I want the 514 model, too. This will be the last purchase for my hair this year, as I am currently trying to use up 60+ products  I can't wait to get one :D

My hair was dry in 40 minutes. The time went by so fast! I was in denial, so I'm under for 20 more minutes. I love the air flow. Love.

You know I had to laugh at your 60+ products. I haven't bought much lately because I am doing pretty good at using up what I have. This dryer is still on my list also.

Vester...Congrats on your dryer. 40 mins dry time would be a dream for me!

Hey Vevster... how long is your hair? Mine is APL and currently takes about 1h 15 min under my ion tabletop dryer. God willing my hair will get longer :lachen:and I would LOVE it if the Pibbs could dry my hair in under an hour even at longer lengths!!

My hair is 2 inches past my shoulder... I think I will cut it to the shoulder to get rid of dead hair(my old stylist ruined my hair).

I'm seeing what the castor oil will do for my ends...

The Pibbs definitely reduces drying time. Definitely.

One more question... does it get really hot under the Pibbs? The main reason my current dryer is unbearable is b/c my whole face gets so hot under there even when it's set to medium! Everything else about the Pibbs seems to be built for comfort, but I just hope it's not like an inferno!

There is a variable knob where you can adjust the temp. I was so comfy under there I was sad when it was all over!

Get one. You won't regret it. You have APL hair, you need one! Get one for Xmas.

well, shoot! you make it sound like a no-brainer!! I think I WILL be treating myself to one of these very soon  Thanks for your help!

Most definitely worth every penny. I realize the gold and hot I had was causing me problems because it doesn't dry evenly and overdried my crown area/scalp. With the 514 it takes me the better part of two hours at the low temp of 45 degrees to get my sets dry, but it is oh so worth it. I see the difference in the way my hair acts in between sets. You just cant beat properly dried hair, imo.

Congrats on the purchase! Youre right, it is worth every penny!

The reason I didn't wait to get the discount with the LHCF group is that last week for some reason I smelled my hair BURNING because I was trying to stuff the big rollers in there.

No more!

Congrats V.... It's the best investment because after 10 uses or so, you have save yourself the same amount of $$$$ if you went to the salon for the same amount of times!

Love having it in the house and roll it out whenever I wanna do my hair:grin: I always have a seat:look: ( I dunno about u but I hate the salon on the weekends....have to calculate when to go so its not so crowded...

Congrats!!

Absolutely. Yesterday, I was like sh*t, I just spent a lot of money on a dryer.. but now.....

My Dominican stylist will only see me for relaxers. It does save money in the long run.

This is how I am with my stylist, she will see me for eyebrow arches and my touch-ups only. I went in for a touch up yesterday and she thought I was gone forever, thanks to my Pibbs 512. So yes the Pibbs is worth all the money and then some.

This right here is a hot selling point, even if I hadn't already been eyeing it.

Girl, I am trying my darndest!!! You know every time I come on here my wishlist goes from 2 items to 50!!!!

I blame your fotki :look:...

I'm getting myself one for Christmas to help with deep conditioning. Yall have sold me on it. What are some good online places to get it???

Vevster, I am glad you like the Pibbs dryer. I have had mine for 4 years and its still going strong and I save so much money. I wash and set my own hair, so thats $40 per week that I don't spend at my stylist. I just go to her for trims and touch-ups. When I am really tired I go to a Dominican shop, but they only charge $25 for a wash and set.

Some of you ladies wishing for a Pibbs and wanting your SO/DH or loved one to buy one for you have made some very compelling points. The hairdryer may be expensive, but think about all the money that is saved by doing your own hair rather than spending X amount of money every 2 weeks. In the short run, there's a cost issue, but in the long run, it's quite worth it. If my parents ask, I will ask them for the money to go towards the dryer, but won't ask for the entire amount. Between the two of them, I think I can get $100 for the dryer. Then, I'll foot the rest. :yep:
