Now that I have length under control...how do I thicken it up?

Polysorbate 80 thicken my hair best out of all the products I have tried.
I put a couple of drop in my conditioners and leave in.
Polysorbate is applied to the scalp 10 minutes before shampooing to remove build up from the scalp.
I know some conditioners have polysorbate 20 or 60 as a ingredient but I order my bottle from Puritan pride because it is more expensive in the health food store.

Might I suggest Co-washing Daily with Mane 'N Tail.
My hair was coming out in the handfulls before I
started doing this now I barely see any shedding and
definately no breakage... my ends are definately thicker
because of it.

Nothing:look: I just let them hang and dry.

I'm fortunate not to have damaged ends, but I contribute that to not using heat regularly.

Thanks!

And then how do you wear your hair once it's dry??

I'll usually wear it in 1 ponytail but sometimes i'll do this.

This is a no heat style - the bang is braided while wet then unravelled while it's damp. Not the greatest looking style but I work the night shift and no one's there. Shoot, this is one of my better looking days.

Occasionally I'll bump the bang under with a curling iron.

Trimbride gave excellent recs.

Mine are:
-Texlaxing/Stretching
-Airdying
-Eating/drinking well - fruits & veggies, low/no sugar & junk, carrot juice, water, biotin (be careful though - it sometimes causes breakouts)
-I prepoo weekly with castor oil & amla oil and this has thickened my hair up and improved its condition considerably.
-Low/no heat
-CO washing (I do this about once every 4-6 weeks and my hair loves it)
-Consistent deep conditioning

Bumping...I'm in the same boat, and for someone that has always had thick hair, the thinner stuff is quite disturbing!!

Ok...normally when I airdry in a ponytail I try putting the ponytail in during the shower so that i don't need to try to comb my wet hair into ponytail outside of the shower. This works for the most part except sometimes I need to resmooth the outside with a soft boars bristle brush (mainly for neatness). Then I apply my leave ins, after that twist the ends in one large twist (not all the way to the ends). Then I tuck the ends under and secure with roller clips. In the morning I untwist the ponytail, it is usually still quite damp. Then I tuck the ends under and wear it in a large tucked under bun.

If I don't re-cowash my hair for the next day, I'll just take down the pony and apply my moisturizers with my hands and finger comb it back into a ponytail.

Maybe next time I'll try cowashing earlier in the day that way I can let ponytail hang to dry (I wonder how long this would take?). Maybe my pony will feel less delicate if it's allowed to hang dry...

can u use castor oil by itself instead of mixing it with other products? how often? i was planning on using mines on my hairline twice a day. tia.
