Not Quite “Toe” Length, but……..(Progress Pics)!

I'm working on It! :lachen:

How quickly a year goes by!

Ladies, you may remember I wanted to post my "first hair pics" to this forum last new year 2009, and was unable to...(I had me some issues ya’ll!)

Anywhoo, with the advent of this new “decade” though belated… I did not want to miss an opportunity share my progress, with ya’ll especially those of you who have truly made it possible with all you’re excellent tips and suggestions…”Keepin It Simple” is my mantra! :yep:

Though I used to have products up the wazoo. I was really tired of broken off unhealthy hair. My issues never stemmed from a bad hairdresser experience, because I’ve never used them. I have no tales of woe to tell thank goodness. I simply needed education about my hair and thru this forum I became “teachable”. I really just wanted “healthy hair” and feel that any length achieved is a “bonus”. :yep:

After lurking for a few months and finally joining the forum in late 2006, I developed my regimen, so this is about 3 years of growth from SL. I literally started my journey in January of 2007.

I am not quite sure what length my hair is and I alternate between MBL and WL…which truly may be wishful thinking on my part, so I appreciate if you ladies can weigh in and give me your opinions. :yep:

My pics start at 21 weeks post perm and I prepped for my new perm.

I “let my hair down” to welcome in the New Year! :dance7:

* My reggie works well for me and consists of deep conditioning and co-washes with cheap conditioner weekly
* Nightly baggying with castor oil, and protective styling by day.
* Dusting every 6 months and trim of 1/2 inch per year .
(works for me)!
* Don’t laugh ya’ll, but I perm my 4a/b hair with a “Kiddie Kit”
for "fine hair”.

I plan on continuing my current regimen and will be perming bi-annually, starting this year….I am praying I can stretch longer than 21 weeks. We shall see….

I hope to post my six month progress pics in July!

Can I be jelly for just 5 minutes please...............................

Okay I am back. It is beautiful.

You hair is very pretty, and no one is laughing at the kiddie relaxer. It obviously is working for you. Congrats on all of your progress.

Just beautiful! We started our journey around the same time and my hair does not look like that.:wallbash:

I dont see too many "fine hairs" this long on here so its great inspiration :yep:

Thanks Girl! Its not really "fine" by definition, it is thick, especially when there is no oil in it, but I use that Kiddie Kit for "fine" hair because it is so mild. For me, the results can't be beat.

I had one occasion where I left it in a little too long... Thank goodness there was no bad consequence.

You do very good work! I'm so glad your reward is long hair:yep: Did you have any stories to tell in the "vicarious" thread"?
