I'm trying to not mess wit my hair for 2 weeks....since i'm trying to transition.

My plan is to only wash my hair every two weeks and blowdry and/or flat iron it. But my hair is SO greasy right now:barf: i'm gonna HAVE to wash it tomorrow. The reason why i'm trying not to wash my hair so much any more is because of all the tangles and matting i get and i'm trying to baby some breakage:sad:.

I'm wondering bc my hair gets dry really fast....and maybe its bc i had been using the Pantene R&N moisturizer as a back up until my Bee Mine came in the mail and the Luscious moisturizer isn't reacting right on my hair.....so i'm gonna have to clarify all this stuff out tomorrow.

so you moisturize for two weeks straight and there's no co-washing or washing in-between? any combing or brushing?

Maybe low-maintenance isn't the way to go with this one. My hair tangles easily and I find co-washing and mositurizing daily, shampooing weekly (cut the build-up) has significantly reduced my tangles AND i have no breakage.

^Yeah i think i'm gonna have to go back to washing more often....its just so much hair to be dealing with THAT often, ya know?

well, I use MegaTek at night and braid my hair in four sections. When I co-wash in the morning, I rinse section by section and use my shower comb, I lose maybe a strand or two.

You can wash/co wash and poo often and still have a low manipulation regimen...
Sure the hair suffers stress from washing and styling often but cutting back on comb detangling and using your fingers instead, washing and conditioning the hair in braids or twists instead of leaving the hair out, and keeping the hair in protective styles contribute to low manip. If you want to do Low manip you can still but perhaps going with what your hair likes better is best. I hope you find your dream reggie and get those tangles and moisture problems fixed!

Low maintainence means something different for everybody. You have to tweak it according to what your hair needs.

AAAALLLLLRIIIGHT!!!!:D......i co washed my hair today and my hair just feels really happy:yep:

I find that right now i have to wash my hair in halves....perhaps in 3 more months i'll have to wash in 4ths......i think i have found what works for me.....co-wash at least once a week with Hair One, shampoo with a clarifying shampoo once a week followed by deep conditioning(that Giovanni Smooth as Silk shampoo?....i'm kinda glad i'm almost out of it bc i notice when i wash with it i see a lot of tiny broken hairs in my hand.....so no star sticker for that one anymore:nono:....but anyway...after wash i've been using my Suave Juicy green apple as a leave in and then i moisturize my hair after its somewhat dry from airdrying with Bee Mine Luscious Balancing Cream Moisurizer:lick:....and seal with jojoba oil and do whatever i need to do to style:)

The following days i'm just spritzing my edges with water and smoothing the down with EcoStyler Gel.....working pretty well for me:yep:

I'm glad you got to cowash it today :yep:

:grin:Me too!! I feel a whole lot better...my whole body feels clean...i had a HUGE cup of blueberry tea with lots of cream and sugar and a lil honey(cause i ran out:ohwell:).....i feel calmer than how i felt earlier.

I was just so furious with the planet Earth:lachen:

Starts singing *listen to your hair, when she's talkin to you* but seriously I totally feel you but do what your hair wants. If its greasy put it in sections as said above and clarify. I had to do that yesterday and I know I didn't feel like it but after I did I felt soooooo much better and I know now not to be stubborn when it comes to my hair

ah yes. Mad at the Earth days...I have experienced those myself lol.

So it looks like you got your new reggie all figured out
