No setting lotion...Can I use something else?

I've thrown away all my setting lotions...but I'm going to attempt a flexi rod set this weekend. Is there anything else I can use or mix up at home to give me a decent hold? I'm not buying anymore product, so your tips would be helpful.

Do you have any mousse? That will work well. Also a light hair gel that dosen't flake.........or a little serum or oil will help give a silky shiny set but it won't have any hold though.

Thanks Poka!! Didn't even think about mousse. I have mousse and light holding gel.
