I am not buying anymore products :nono:. I have only been a member of this board for one month, and it has put a serious dent in my pockets. I am going to use the products that I bought and see how my hair responds to them. I have also vowed to finish everything before I buy anymore!

Good for you! Better to take control now before things get out of hand like a lot of us.... Not me, though. I haven't gotten out of hand :look:

Can I join You Fab I am not buying anything else til August I am an addict.

i want and need to join you so bad but i dont know if i can. i need to use up everything i have and not buy anything else until winter.

I need to join too. I brought my steamer, and my parents are getting me a Pibbs for graduation. I found my staples and I need to stop.

Now!

Me too! I think I was suffering from Post Traumatic Shock Syndrome as a result of the chemical damage and overprocessing I suffered and I went on a severe binge and bought at least 2 of everything out there. Serious dent in the old purse indeed. But it's been fun :) I still have things on order, perhaps when it comes, I'll vow to at least not purchase anything until fall. (I could actually go that long) :(

Well i am in the MegaTek challenge, and it's over in March 2010. Until i'm done that and everything else, i won't be buying...unless I run out--which i doubt.

I completely feel you! When I first joined in December, I was spending like 75% of my net income (after bills of course) on hair products. Everytime someone said something grew their hair 2 inches in 1 month, I was on it! Now I have more growth aids then I need, and don't even use them. So I've stopped buying so much until I've used what I have. But I can honestly say that with everything that I've bought I finally have my staples together that work great with my hair.

Same here. I have so much stuff, that I've been letting my mother use some of it. I want to try other things, but I really have to stop. This economy is making me say "no" until everything is used up.

In the meantime, I make a list of future products to try.

Smart thinking! I've still got bottles of 'hope' sitting around in my cabinet from last year when I joined the board. Its all trial and error in the beginning to find what works for you and your hair. Give yourself a little time when using each product to see what it does for your hair. Once you realize that it doesn't work, then its time to move on.

Good for you! The absolute best thing you can do is stick with what works for your hair. I've jumped on a few bandwagons and some were good others were not.

I'm back down to simplicity with rosewater/glycerin mix, WEN, my simple dc mixes, Lustrasilk Shea Butter DC, and LTR leave-in. :yep: My hair likes it so I'm happy.
