I just texlaxed my hair and I am approaching my 1 year anniversary. While my hair has grown, I have about 4 inches of stringy relaxed ends
I also have some areas that have broken off
I don't know if it is because
I see people at work and on the street that hot curl their hair everyday and their hair looks healthier than mine
I hate to rant I am truly blessed and my hair is better off than it was a year ago, I just am wondering what I may have done wrong.
I have length but it is uneven and my fine hair needs help.
Can someone recommend the best protective style for me.
I was thinking about wearing french rolls but I don't think it will work for my fine texlaxed hair
So far my plan is to deep condition twice per week, use BT, protective style (I may stop baggying
), and relax every 3-4 months.
BTW: When I texlax I mix a jar of regular silk elements lye relaxer with olive oil and apply for 15 minutes, I rinse with water and apply Nexxus Kerphix Reconstructor for about 5 minutes then I neutralize and conditioned with Porosity Control conditioner and Silk Elements moisturizing conditioner.
I don't think I am suffering from hair anorexia either, if you have any suggestions please chime in.
TIA

I don't know if it is because
- I stretched for six months or if it is because
- my fine hair didn't get enough protein/moisture while I was in braids for three months. Or maybe
- my old stylist overprocessed my hair and now my texlaxed hair is making that more evident.
- I hope it is not because I have self relaxed for the last year
, I don't think it is because all of the hair that I relaxed is thicker than the hair that the stylist relaxed
