I did was reading other posts on this product and most of it was bad reviews. I just get it and wanted to know if anyone likes this product? Thank u

when i first found the hair forum on another site everyone was loving humectress so i ran out and bought some, leaving my old conditoner out in the dust. well in my opinion its ok its not all that good if you need something that detangles well. i've gone back to my old conditioner at any rate. oh... adding a dollop of olive oil to nexxus gave me more slip...

I like Humectress as an instant conditioner and I also use it as a leave-in when I wear protective styles.

My problem with it is that it's shamefully over-priced for something that doesn't work any better for me than Pantene S&S. Once I use up the rest of my Humectress, I'm sticking with Pantene.

I like Humectress myself. I look for products I can use frequently without harming my hair and I find that I can do that with Nexxus Humectress. I personally find it very moisturizing.

IMO, Humectress is a great hair product

However, I've found another product that is the same kind of product as Humectress but it's better. It's the Joico Moisturizing Conditioner. This is the Joico line's moisturizing conditioner with protein as is Humectress for Nexxus.

I use it as a settng lotion for rollersets. Nexxus Humectress is great but sally's generic brand is pretty good too

i love it but i use it as leave in. when my hair is in a fro i just do a conditioner wash then coat my hair hair with humetress then put a wrap on it. it's great

I have nexxus humectress in my hair right now, I just CPR'd my hair, after I rinsed it out I put the humctress in and put on a plastic cap. I'm going to shower now and the steam from the shower will make it penetrate even better. By the time I'm done my hair will be super soft and moisturized. I really like nexxus humectress.

I actually like the Nexxus shampoos, but I do think there are cheaper alternatives that work just as well. Pantene S&S is just unbelievable. I recently bought my mother the Y-serum system from Nexxus. It is supposed to be for hair that has been relaxed, color-treated, etc. for years. It has a spray, conditioner and shampoo and the ingredients look pretty good. She usually takes her products to the salon to get her hair done. But this time her hairstylist said that he doesn't like Nexxus products, because in his experience he's found that over time Nexxus products stop the hair from holding curls. Has anyone ever heard of this or experienced this? When she told me I just said okay, until I could confirm it here.

Thank you ladies for replying. I just use the shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in and I must say my hair seems to love this product, my hair is so soft, I cant belive it. The back of my hair is always dry and breaking and I pray this can help control it. Thanks again

I have started using the Nexus range, the Therappe shampoo and Humecress and I find it very good. I used Pathene shampoo, for curly hair, and I found it too drying, also L'Oreal moisturising shampoo was also good.

Well, I'm dying to try Humectress, but I just can't shell ou that kind of money on my hair right now. By bathroom already looks like a beauty supply store as it is. I need to use up what I got before I invest $20 on some conditioner.

When I first joined this board, I bought Nexxus Humectress, Headress, and Ensure. Later I purchased Keraphix which Ive only used once. So far, I love these products. What someone else said, however, is true...that there are comparable products that are cheaper. I hope the thing about hair not holding curls isnt true...perhaps folks need to clarify occasionally to allow products to continue working....just an idea...

I don't know if anyone else has had this experience with Humectress but the first 2 or 3 times I used it, it was great. Gradually though I noticed my forhead was breaking out badly and my hair didnt have any movement. I tried washing it out of my hair longer, and applying it differently but, my hair still did not look like it did the first couple of times. So now Im on the search for something else.

Dasha,

Many times when a product that once worked well for you starts to not work as well, it means that you need a clarifying treatment or you need to switch to something different for a week or two.

My answer was to clarify also. But I just wondered if anyone had any first hand experience. Her stylist is really good as far as listening to her and letting her bring in outside products. She takes my 5lb tub of Affirm everytime she goes. I just think he puts too many curls in her hair. I always tell her she looks like she's going to a hair show.

I love my Humectress!! I use with heat after every shampoo except when I use my Keraphix. Then I use without heat as a follow up to my Keraphix. I like to use as a leave in along with my Dudley's PCA and I add a little in my spray bottle of distilled water that I use to keep my hair moist when I rollerset.

I think I'm grabbing me some tonight! I used to use the Sally's generic version Humectress. It was good!
