Nexxus Ensure/Aloe Rid

When are you supposed to use either of these products, especially ensure as its acidifying, what does this mean? Thanks

I use the Aloe Rid as my clarifying shampoo and after swimming. Never tried the Ensure before, but I assume that acidify means to lower tha pH, so maybe it makes the hair shinier.

Acidifying means to lower the pH level of the hair, especially hair that has been chemically treated, since chems are alkaline. I don't see the need for such a product on virgin natural hair, so it would probably be best used once or twice a month otherwise, depending on how often you shampoo and receive your chemical treatments.

I do know what acidifying is all about though. I would like to know about Ensure and Aloe Rid in particular. If I use either one, I'm wondering whether it's good to use them often since they do lower the pH.
