I was wondering how long do you keep it in your hair? Do you use a plastic cap? Do you sit under a hooded drier with it? I just bought some ($12.99 for that little bottle) I am going to use it Friday, but I wanted to know how you ladies use it.

I wash with a clarifying shampoo, apply the Emergence, sit under the dryer with no plastic cap until it has hardened. Then I rinse and DC with a moisturizing DC. My hair feels like silk when I rinse the Emergence but I still DC with moisture for good measure, HTH.

I use Nexus Emergency, and I typically put in on my hair cover with a plastic cap and sit under the dryer for about 30 minutes or so, then I rinse and follow up with a moisturizing DC. I've been using it ever other week, but am planning on cutting back to every three weeks or so.

I do what Kellum does. And, you do not have to use that whole bottle at one time. My hair is shoulder length when wet and I get about 3-4 uses out of that tiny bottle.

That is true. I've gotten 2 uses out of my little bottle and my hair is APL. I have at least another 1 to 2 more left over. It spreads really well.

Thanks ladies. I don't know why I am nervous to use it. I just hope it doesn't make my hair feel brittle. I will folow it with a DC to avoid that, but sometimes my hair actc crazy when protein is involved.

Make sure you DO NOT follow the instructions on the bottle. I did (Let it sit for like 5 or 10 mins w/o any heat) and when I rinsed, litttle bits of hair were all over my sink!! Make sure you are using it consistent with the advice the ladies here are giving you and you'll be fine

I too use mine like Kellum and was very pleased with the results. You'll be fine, there is nothing to be afraid of. Just make sure you deep condition really well when you're done.

I shampoo - put it on with a cap for about 10-15 minutes (under the dryer) then I remove the cap and sit under the dryer until is hardens - let my hair cool - then rinse and follow up with a moisturizing condish (either humectress, AO HSR, or Kenra MC) I don't shampoo after rinsing the emergencee - I little goes a long way for me - two good squirts will cover my hair and scalp...

I Emergencee the week prior to Relaxing by applying it onto clean damp hair and getting under the drier for about 10-15 minutes. Always following up with an Intensive Moisturizing Treatment.

I apply an ample amount, pile hair on top of my head, sit under dryer for about 15-20 min.

Then, when you rinse----for the first min or so---just let the water pressure rinse and loosen your hair---try not to manipulate it a lot while it is still 'hard'

Last--be sure to do a moisturizing DC!
