NEWSFLASH: Jada Says She will be cutting her Luscious locks

Jada is featured on the cover of Upscale magazine. There is a really cute picture of her and her two kids. She says in the article that she will be cutting her hair. She grew it out because folks said her short do was too edgy. She prefers short hair. She says within the next two years she will be cutting sooner rather than later.

You are right. She looks good with short or long. The long hair just gave her a more polished, sophisticated look.

That goes to show you that hair does not make a woman beautiful. There are so many women, who feel they won't cut their hair because, it will make them less attractive. If you are beautiful, you will be, with long or short hair. I cut my hair and my girlfriend had a fit! I am not my hair! She would die before she cuts her hair, she cringes at getting her ends clip. I think many women have been brainwashed about hair.

I'm suprised that someone as strong-willed and (seemingly) dominant as Jada would let what other people say about her hair influence her decision like that.

Having said that, I think going back to the shorter hair is going to make her look even more masculine. It was cute back in the day when she was softer, but now...erplexed

You know I agree with you on this point. She comes across as very strong-willed and allowing someone else to influence how she chooses to represent herself does seem a bit odd. And I have to say, back in the day her short cut was TOO CUTE but her face is very angular now (all of the baby fat is gone) so she will need to be careful about looking too hard unless that is the look she is going for.

Uh yeah I have to agree with you MizAvalon. The longer hair made her look softer. Her hair is so beautiful I didn't relaize it was hers! As long as she doesn't go too short. She's a little "hard" for that. Halle can go that short because she's ultra fem but Jada. She does have an edge so she can't go too short. But if her hubby doesn't mind the cut well then she should go for it!

I agree, Halle looks less "common" with her short do. It just really set off her face and poise.

My hubby knows I am growing my hair out again but he said he always found that women with long hair look "common" and as if they are trying to hide behind their hair. I dont' agree with that sentiment but those were his.

He met me with a barber cut and loved it on me. Oh well.

LOL, i didn't mean to alarm ya sis! okay well, maybe i did... i like to see people's reactions to my hair. i guess i'm a closet attention-craver. probably why i went natural in the first place. my hair grabs people's attention.

i'll probably chop to about the length i have now, which lets you know how long i'm *hoping* my hair will grow over the years...

*some of you made a very valid point that her face is more angular than when she was younger. i still think she'll look good no matter what, but i am curious to see how short she plans to go.

She's too manly with short hair. To each her own, though. Good luck. I guess when she goes short again, Will will go back to stuffing his tongue down the throats of long-haired beauties.

To me, long hair just adds so much more to a woman's beauty. Sure, some women can look good both ways (Halle) but I couldn't imagine Gabby Union without her hair; or Tyra with a short do and pretty much nobody.

It took me a long time to realize how much a woman's hair added to her appearance.

Some women would not be as attractive with short hair and might be downright ugly without long hair.
