Newbie\'s Burning Q: How do y\'all sleep?!?!

Hi Everyone! I just found this forum this evening and I'm fascinated (& a lil' overwhelmed!) reading all of the posts. But I just HAVE to know: for those of you with hair shoulder length and beyond -- what do you do with your hair at night before bed?!?! It seems no matter what I do I appear to be causing breakage somewhere on my head. Any and all answers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks loads!

Welcome to the board.

Before I go to bed, I put my hair in a very loose bun and put on my satin bonnet.

I usually wrap my hair or put it in a bun and cover with a satin scarf.

Welcome to our hair family

.

I have several "bed" styles...

1) Hair pulled on crown of head, in a loose ponytail (secured with a satin scrunchie), covered in a satin hair bonnet.
2) Hair pulled on crown of head, in a huge pin curl, (secured with hair pins), covered in a satin hair bonnet.
3) Hair wrapped around large flexirods
4) Hair sectioned in 4 loose braids...

Hopefully other members will post soon... maybe they can give u some more techniques, as well as some advice to combat your breakage.

I just put on a satin bonnet and go to bed. I don't put my hair in a ponytail or anything--just put the bonnet on it.

Welcome to the board!

I'm wearing a braid out, or twist out, or bantu knots, so I usually style my hair in the same way that it dried. Whenever I get lazy, I just put my silk scarf on tuck my ends in, and GO TO SLEEP!
