Hell everyone my name is Sydney and i'm 15. Well heres my problem guys. See how mostly everyone on here has nice thick 3/4 type hair. Well my hair isn't like that. It's a big combination of 2's. It's thick and looks puffy but it's all waves. Is there anyone else out there with hair like mine? I'm sick and tired of people making fun of me saying i'm a white girl with a screwed up afro and brown skin . I'm also transitioning. I have about 2in of new growth. And i'm trying to grow my hair out. I'm sorry for the long post but i just need lots of help.

welcome SoAnxious12. I'm sure help is on the way. Stay tuned and don't be discouraged.

Welcome Sydney!!

People with any hair type might be able to help you! A lot of the information on here work for many different hair types

What is your regime now?

Welcome aboard!!!
Have you tried bantu knots or braidouts? If your hair is wavy, it should help it look wavy without the extra frizzies.

I agree with Wildflower, i think this look would go nice with your hair as you described it

well its not frizzy. It's oily and wavy! But it grows out like a flat afro puff (this is the second time i i'm going natural so I know what it's like) and that bothers me. I feel lonely i haven't seen any 2c's (according to the hair type chart on this site) around.
I'll try the bantu knots. Thanks for the suggestion

Hey, SoAnxious!

I'm a 2c!!! I'm relaxed now, but in my natural days I would just wash my hair, condition it, blowdry then put it a braid (either a French braid or just one big braid). In the morning I would take the braid out and it would be nice and wavy and fluffy! Now judging from your convo, it seems like you are getting teased about this very sme look (big and fluffy). Don't feel bad. I used to get teased, too b/c everyone else had perms and I didn't. But I always loved

the way my hair looked so it really wasn't hurtful to me. I also used to get it pressed every other wk and the press would last a long time.

You have many options, but I like what the girls have told you so far: braidouts will look very pretty on you. You could do variations of ponytails while you are transitioning. Again, pressing may be a option for when you want to be more versatile, but pls..... LOVE YOUR HAIR!!! Because it IS beautiful

sorry it took so long for me to reply back but my computer was actin up these past few days... but anyway here's my regimen
once a week i wash my hair then i oil my scalp with this mixture of doo groo and olive oil. then i spray surge revitalizer on my scalp. Then i put carrot oil on my ends. After that I braid my hair but it's so soft it only lasts for 3 days. So every three days i conditioner wash my hair and oil my scalp again then i braid it back up. But my biggest problem is my ends. I'm too lazy and cheap to find a stylist to cut them. I would let my mother do it but last time she did it was uneven so... I don't know
