Hello Ladies. I wanted to introduce myself to say hello and thank you. I have been lurking for sometime and you all are truly an inspiration. I tried this once before from Mar-Sep 07 and made it through a 6 month stretch and then I let other people pressure me into getting a relaxer. I could kick myself! So here I go again. My last relaxer was this past November and I am in this for the long haul. I do have plenty of questions but I don't want to post a book so I'll search the threads and I'll ask later. I look forward to learning all I can from ya'll.

Welcome...and don't sweat it. Sometimes it takes a few attempts before completing the transition.

Welcome!! I used braids and weaves to get through my transition so I didn't have to deal with the 2 textures and so people didnt try to pressure me.. maybe you could try that.. HHG!!

Hello and welcome! Girrrrl... I'm on my THIRD try so you are not alone! I have a lot more knowledge now so I think I'll make it this time. Be sure to arm yourself with as much knowledge as you can too. Just keep on pushing towards that goal!:yep:

Took me three times too.

Thank you all for the warm reception. You all have beautiful hair and I cannot wait until I get there. My hubby is very supportive of my desire to go natural and even encouraged it but when it comes to just going ahead with a BC he is a bit apprehensive about that. So my plan right now is to transition until it gets to hard to work with both textures. My DD who is 12 is also going through this with me and her hair is much easier to manage then my own. I need to teach her how to do hair so she can hook me up :yep:
