I was always told to grease my scalp. Now I don't use grease. But, am I supposed to be doing something else to my scalp?

Massaging is good. You can use whatever growth serum you'd like. I don't like grease either, but Sulfur 8 hair grease did wonders for my edges. HTH

I massage and "grease" my scalp with a sulphur-based product. I've been greasing my scalp for years and it's a habit that will probably never die. I also have an extremely dry scalp and am prone to dandruff if I don't regularly grease it, particularly with sulphur.

Massage, mostly dry- sometimes with oil.

Close to wash day, I still reach for my Sulphur 8 or Dax from time to time. I thought I was the only one who still had some "grease!" lol

After I posted here, I was trying to remember why I stopped using Sulphur 8 so much after I joined this board...I guess it is because of the mineral oil? Don't know, but I did want to advise you that a lot of ladies don't grease because of mineral oil, petroleum, and other ingredients in different types of grease, so yeah! lol

But, some "greases" like dax are made of the same ingredients as the oils. For example, the main ingredient in Dax is coconut oil. Hope that helps...I'm still a newbie myself.:spinning:

I massage when shampooing but more so during my ACV rinse. I dunk my head in the solution and massage my scalp to my heart's content. Also, whenever I think of it, I do the scalp exercise. (www.shapeyourface com -- It is exercise #5).
