I'm hoping the length loss isn't as bad as it looks and that it stops! /images/graemlins/wallbash.gif It's been sooooo long since I've worn my natural hair ... I'm hoping it just needs some time to get used to its debut and act right or at least reasonable (dangit!). /images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have to agree with Poohbear on this one. You mentioned in your album how you flat iron your own hair...how often? Try cutting out the heat and increasing your deep conditions/washes. This really helped me. I lost a lot of thickness after I went back to the relaxer and my ends had so many see through spaces. I cut of the heat and increased my washes and my hair filled in nicely in about 2 months! (You can see that in the picture in my signature when you compare my hair in August to my hair in October).

BTW, you have very pretty, thick, natural hair!! /images/graemlins/clap.gif

It is def too much heat. I have reslted in only ironing my hair once every 4 months because my hair does not tolerate it too much. Don't worry, your hair will grow back. Try keeping it in a braided style for the time being (or winter) to give your hair a rest. That is what I am currently doing right now. Your hair will thank you later.

Okay, I give in ... I'm gonna chill on the heat! /images/graemlins/wink.gif I normally blowdry and flat iron it with Redken Heat Glide after washing, deep conditioning and applying NTM leave in and WGO once a week. While I was typing this my Carol's Daughter HHB and Hair Milk arrived, I ordered it to help me style my hair in its natural state without heat. /images/graemlins/clap.gif

I kinda unintentionally transitioned. I wasn't really planning to be natural. I was wearing a weave and wasn't relaxing the hair that was braided. In February, I stopped relaxing the hair that was left out because I had experienced too much breakage around my hairline and kitchen. When I stopped wearing weaves in October, I was natural. /images/graemlins/clap.gif
