can anyone share some regimens??
sorry no pics yet!

Hi, Welcome!

What were you doing when it was waist length? Did you change anything?

You should re-examine the products & practices that you were using when your hair was doing better.

It's gonna be hard for any of us to give you a regimen because everyone has differences.

We need to know more about what you want to accomplish and what you are currently doing.

How often do you relax? Do you think your hair is over-processed?

What is your hair type?

When you say it's not healthy, what do you mean?
Does it break?
Is it dry?

You have to be more detailed. And you're gonna have to look around the forum for the info you are seeking.

If you learn to use the search feature you can find a lot.

Look up at the top next to Quick Links. Click 'search' 1 time and a drop down window will appear. Click advanced search at the bottom of that window.

Where you see Key Word(s): Change Search entire post to Search titles only

You can learn so much using the advanced search.
Also, don't be afraid to send private messages to members. We're all fairly friendly and helpful! Sometimes you can get better answers if you ask directly.

Hope this helps.

it is dry and breaking... i use the same products as before the only thing changed is the shampoo and conditoner i use to use tresemme but it broke off my hair after a while. my hair became very thin over time.

OK. You may need to use a clarifying shampoo.
Use the search feature and you'll see a ton of posts to explain better.

But you could be experiencing product buildup. Too many silicone products on your hair are blocking out the moisture. Look in the ingredients section on your products and see if you see items like dimethicone and simethicone and
anything else ending in cone. These products are great for shine and heat protection but they aren't easily removed with water or with regular shampoos.

This is why you need a shampoo that will clarify.

Another question...is it a lye or no lye relaxer.

If it is no lye then you may have calcium buildup and maybe its time to use a chelating shampoo to remove the calcium.

I want you to look up those two things with the advanced search. you'll see tons of info.
Dang...I sound like somebody's Momma!
