1) Protective Styling- This is what got me past Shoulder Length
2) Moisterizing daily- Has help retain my length and keep my hair healthy
3) LHCF!! I searched and lurked and found out things that helped others and used their examples and tips asa tool as how to treat my hair...I learned about Deep Conditioning...which is VERY Important also.
Hope that helps (HTH) and also Happy Birthday...

1) Protective styling - I wear updos pretty much EVERYDAY - unless it's a special occasion. Always protect those ends.
2) Moisture - I spritz with distilled water or a good leave-in everyday, plus investing in a quality moisturizing conditioner.
3)Patience - DenverGirl already said this, but I totally agree - just be patient and you'll see results.
1. PATIENCE-Believe you me you can find tons of threads where ladies were doing just fine with there regimen and growth and then jumped on an unnecessary bandwagon that set them back bigtime.
2. Low manipulation/protective styling-I wear a ponytail 95% of the time. I started off at shoulder length when I meet LHCF and now I am brushing BSL.
3.Wash/Condition hair frequently-Find quality products that work for you.
Here's my 2 cents
`1: Protective styling
2. No trimming, just dust split ends
3.Moisture to your strands(Elasta QP mango butter)
oh, and another...4. Stretching your relaxer
1. Maintaining a proper moisture/protein balance.
2. Protective and low maintenance styles.
3. stretching relaxers, deep conditioning and minimizing direct heat.
Soooo, i cheated a little.....lol.
