I finally had to break down and pay up.

I have been reading LHCF for awhile but refused to pay the subscription fee :nono: I'm a student, I'm poor. But I have decided that if I don't get my six inches this year I am giving up on the journey. I am going to try to do everything right and if it's not working for me or I'm somehow still doing something wrong I'm gonna have to quit. And I don't want to have to do that. So I figured I better give myself the best tools possible in order to make this a success.

Well here's what's going on with my hair:

I am 4a relaxed SL... My natural texture is somewhere in the C's. I would transition but I don't feel it's the right time in my life with my undergrad winding down. But I don't hate relaxers or anything, my hair is half natural half relaxed right now

I co wash four to five times a week and air-dry. I shampoo and deep condition on weekends. I use a protein reconstructor or suave to co wash... alternate between HE replenishing, suave daily clarifying, and ORS aloe to shampoo, and dc with Humectress, or con, or con mixed with Keraphix. I usually do an egg and EVOO prepoo but right now I'm out of eggs. lol.

My hair is SL and VERY uneven! but my ends are not split so I see no reason to cut.

I have problems with breakage that sometimes stop but then come back :(

I get 30 minutes of cardio at least four times a week (about 2.5 miles on average) and I'm taking a multivitamin, biotin, and a b complex. I drink lots of water too and I like many healthy foods.

But for some reason either this process is very slow or I am overly paranoid about not doing things right. This is officially my first year taking conscious care of my hair, and I hope to do it right and see some results by the end of the year. I want some long hair under my mortarboard!

Well I guess that’s all... but I’m sure I will be back to bug you all with lots and lots of questions over the course of my stay here.

So, hi!

Welcome aboard!

Stay patient, consistant, baby those ends and stay away from heat, and you'll get your 6'' :yep: Don't think about how you're gonna give up if you don't reach your goals, think about how much more beautiul and healthy your hair will be! Imagine youself with longer hair and it WILL happen! Don't doubt yourself, stay positive, you'll get there :D

:infatuated:

I forgot to mention, I gave up heat. So I feel like I'm doing all there is and just hoping for the best.

I want to post a few pics but idk how to make it do that link attachment thing... my photos are big. Lemme see if I can't figure it out

Ok, I see where to do it but my pics are too big to be uploaded. Well here is my fotki then

Welcome to the board! I'm relatively new myself--as you can see from my post-count.

I don't think you'll be disappointed in terms of investing in this board. It's a wealth of information. I consider it a huge bargain, when I think of all that I've learned reading here.

Enjoy!
