Sorry if the pics are too big, I'm learning :yep:

Okay, so I just took out my kinky twists & washed with Ion Hard Water Purifying Shampoo, (First time trying it, & my hair was so soft. I hadn't used sulfates in a long while) conditioned with ORS replenishing pak, (Couldn't deep condition because I was pressed for time. I ALWAYS deep condition) blowdried, (Again, I NEVER do that either) :lachen: and flatironed with my new Corioliss AKE that I bought off ebay for like $29. Love it! I also used aphogee green tea restructorizer (Or whatever it's called) after towel drying as well as profective mega growth hair lotion and Silk Elements heat protector. I used ORS Nature's Shine coconut oil spray as a finishing touch. My avatar is from Sept when I did my last length check. I see some progress. Yay!

This is how I started (sorry about the blanket, it was chilly):

I almost didn't want to wash my hair, I thought I looked fabulous already. LOL:

My back looks deformed because I was super close to my webcam:

You are a pretty lady, indeed! I see great progress from your Avi pic! Looks like about 2 inches or a little more in new length! I sometimes feel the same way when I take out braids or twists...I love the look so much that I don't want to wash it!

Thanks everyone! I believe I will start using braids again to protective style. I found a good braider that doesn't pull your edges out :look:. I normally use half wigs, but let me just tell you what my male co-worker said to me today. As soon as I walked in his face lit up & he said "Wow B, I didn't know you had hair."
"I thought you were bald headed." :ohwell: We joke around a lot back & forth so I let him live to see tomorrow. :hammer: Anyway, he went on to explain that since I wear weaves/wigs (to protective style!) he just assumed that my hair was shorter than what it is. He thought all women wore fake hair because they were hiding something. He called my hair long, and I told him thanks, but I've got a ways to go until it's considered long in my book. I did check him about assuming something about a subject he knows nothing about (Black women's hair) and I won't even get started on his opinion of natural hair. Something to the effect of "Perm that mess!" :nono:
I had a small crush on a guy I've known for years until I heard him say something like that. My feelings died right there & I won't be calling him for quite a while. Huge turnoff! I'm relaxed myself, but I can't stand when men think they know everything under the sun about hair & are quick to criticize women. :brucelee:
This concludes my rant. Thanks for reading
