If you have pics of your "before" pics - and then photos AFTER 1 year and 2 years later, can you share? Your struggle stories, too! Especially you 4a/4b ladies who started with TWAs or very short hair. I just started my hair growth journey in January and need all the encouragement I can get. I started with zero experience* and have learned so much to-date! I'm so excited! Thanks!
*Zero experience means I was using anything in my hair, (vaseline, grease, pomades, nothing, etc.,) combing/brushing frequently- yanking at my hair without a care, hot combs/flat irons/straightening combs at highest settings with no protectants, air dryers with no diffusers and at highest settings close to my head, sprays and creams loaded with stuff bad for my hair, sleeping with hair uncovered on cotton pillowcases, relaxers every six weeks, regardless of growth, washing with whatever, letting my hair stylist cut and cut and cut - even though I tell her I want growth, and more. If my hair was a husband, I'd be divorced by now!
So thanks again to all my teachers out there! My hair has been growing quite well since my "graduation."
Goal: BSL in two years. Is this reasonable?
P.S. Some of above examples might work for you - they just didn't work for me, that's all. Not judging!
