Hi Ladies, I've lurking around for a couple of weeks now and decided it was time for me to post. First I just have to say thanks for all of the advice thus far! :clapping: I'm glad to find there are other women out there just like me when it come to this hair thing. It has definately been a rollercoaster ride. :perplexed Right now my hair is short (Halle Berry), but it's time to grow. I actually never planned to go this short this time, but with SHS anything can happen. I was going to a supposedly reputable stylist paying an arm and a leg, but my hair was very hard and plain ol' ugly. I thought it was just my hair and nothing could be done. But I wised up because I remember the days when I had pretty hair and I know what can be done. The first thing I did was pray, then I starting searching and thankfully wound up here. After some searching I found my old stylist who is like an angel is disguise. She genuinely cares about her clients' hair. :littleang so between this board and her I on my way! I just started my vitamin regime today here's what I'm taking:

Centrum
Evening Primrose
MSM
Biotin
Ultra Nourishair
Flaxseed Oil

Does this sound ok?

Thanks Ladies!!! I am so excited!! :bouncy:

You should check and see the similarities (or differences) in your multi-vitamin and the hair vitamin as you may be able to drop one. Other than that everything looks good.

Welcome Mswinni  Kaddy took the words right outta my mouth (great minds think alike ;) ). But you wanna ensure that you're not taking too much of the same vitamin as it could be harmful to you. Good luck on your journey :)

Thanks Kaddy, from what I have observed you seem to be very knowledgable. I'll do some comparison later to see what I can remove. I took everything for the first time earlier today and it did seem a bit overwhelming. I got a headache almost instantly. I just figured it was because I hadn't eaten enough. I ate and that helped.

Aww thanks. I got a lot from the ladies here and doing a little extra research on the internet. I will tell you that you will definitely need to drink lots of water.

The headache could have been caused by a number of the vitamins, but I know that when I started taking my biotin I would get headaches. I had to make sure I was drinking enough water and I also think that my body had to get used to it. I am not sure of the side effects of the other vitamins (MSM, Evening Primrose, and Flaxseed) I am not sure how much water you drink, but definitely increase it. No less than 64 oz a day, which is the regular 8 glasses a day.

Hi!

I'm a (sort of) newbie too, so we can learn here together. I'm happy that you found a good stylist. I'm sure your hair will be growing in no time!
