Hi everyone im new here and I was just wondering if any of you used ceramic flat irons on your new growth, and if you have pictures of the results because I am considering buying one.

Welcome Gigglez! I don't have pics of flat-ironed new growth, but I have tried it. When I started taking better care of my hair, I read Cathy Howse's book first and she even recommends this for extending relaxers just after your hair has been washed and has air-dried. She recommends doing it on the lowest setting possible and doing the whole head and not just new growth.

Hey Vickie, I have Cathy's book also, I was just wondering if its hard to get the new growth straight, cuz I always have a problem getting close to the scalp cuz I think im gonna burn myself or something! But I really want to extend my relaxers more and I think that would be a good way to do it f i got the technique down.

I don't have any pics of flat-ironed new growth either, but I do have a ceramic flat iron. It does a great job at straightening my new growth. This is the one that I have:
