As some of you all know, I am transtioning out of my perm. I posted new pics today, so come by at fotki.com, search Tennile, and my password is crown. Browse and comment!! Thanx
I just love your hair! You've done the neatest rollerset that I've ever seen! I pmd you about your regimen...I'm sure others are interested as well. (Not sure if you ended up posting it in your other threatd)
BEAUTIFUL!
i want to know what is your hair texture? how long have you been transitioning? and why did you relax in the first place? your hair looked so silky with a press- i would have been like "bring on the hotcomb!" lol
thanks
Thanx to everyone's replies. Now for the answers to the questions...(1) I don't know what texture I have, according to Andre, but I can give you my rundown: I have 4 textures-the front is amazingly straight, the sides are wavy, the back is curly, and the center is coarse and frizzy.
(2)I relaxed because when I went to college, I could find no one who pressed like my aunt in moma's kitchen. I also wanted styles, like everyone else.
(3)October 26,2003 marked my transition anniversary
Tennile I couldn't get over your hair. It's absolutely beautiful! Why ever did you even miss the perm?! My dream is to be able to braid my hair without extensions and get the same effect you get. I absolutely loved your braids, your twists, your roller sets, presses, crimps...even your wrap.
You definitely go onto my list of idols. I am awed speechless.
I am Tonya! and I am in Memphis and I have been dying to have a LHCF gathering so let me know if u want to meet!
Your ahir is GAWGEOUS!!! Reminds me of my days when I was relaxer free. What styles are you using to grow your perm out. WHo is your stylist?
I think I know one of your friends on your pic...did you do to Whitehaven or havenview?
Wow, your hair looks great, very shiny. The braids, braid-outs, and twistouts look really nice as well. Keep up the good work, looks like transitioning is going well for you.
Ofcourse I would like to have a gathering!! I am experimenting with my hair. Since I have more permed hair still, I am able to do some styles with it. My stylist is me. I did not go to either school; I graduated from East. If you are speaking of the two young ladies on the pic before I started relaxing, we met at UT Chat for a prospective freshman seminar.
