I smell boo boo.

Anything that permanently alters the texture of your hair is a chemical. Period. Whether it be milk and lime juice or a TCB no-lye relaxer.

Don't believe the hype.

It's pretty much a texturizer.

It "loosens" your natural curl pattern permanently but doesn't make your hair "bone straight". The main ingredient is apparently "alkaline water" -- water with a basic ph. I'm pretty sure this water would activate one of their "inactive ingredients" that has the chemical.

I've heard that it dries the hair out horribly. Stick with what works

I've heard bad things about Bodiphier, too.

, but lhcf's "diamoness" goes to a stylist who makes his own natural relaxer called Couzette that has alkaline water as the main ingredient. He told me all about it and tried to sell me some when I called to order some other products (I was like, "Dude! This is long distance!"

) He's very enthusiastic about this product and D's hair looks great.

I used this years ago (about 9 years now) but it didn't do anything to my hair. It didn't damage it or straighten it either and back then I wanted straight smooth hair and so I only used it twice. It was total waste of my money. I'm natural now and still wouldn't use it even though I want to loosen some of my natural curl. I just wasn't impressed at all.

what would be the difference in a natural relaxer and just a regular relaxer? I think NOTHING AT ALL

yeah, stay away from this one. someone that i know from another hair board used it for a while. she liked it at first until she noticed how damaged that part of her hair was. so she now has relaxed ends, bodiphied middle hair and relaxed roots. she said the bodiphied part was dry as the sahara. so she's now in the process of growing it out...
