I figured it was a new month, I'm starting a new stage in life, it's time to shed the past and all those sad looking relaxed ends and BC. I stopped relaxing around March 1st, 2008 and just wanted to grow my hair out. Unfortunately, I didn't find LHCF until the end of my transition and really didn't know what I was doing and how to maintain the 2 textures. Luckily all the information, advice, and support I've gotten since joining has saved my hair from further damaged. Thank you so much everyone.

I thought I was going to need some liquid courage to actually put the scissors to my hair, but I knew I was ready (emotionally, physically, and spiritually)and once I started the scraggily relaxed ends didn't stand a chance. I love my new natural hair and look forward to growing with it. I got nothing but positive responses (though I was to geeked to hear any negative anyway). I feel so free and liberated and ready to start a new chapter in my life. Let the journey begin!!!
