I have a question to ask all of you. I know it's not a good way to start a question for a new member like me. But who? WHat? WHen? Inspire you to have long hair to achieve your goal for long beautiful hair.
welcome to the board hair lik peach tree i gess i kinda motivated myself coz after being told bout how blacks hair didnt grow u can imagine how amazed i was wen i discovered hair care boards wit pics of ladies that proved this theory wrong and i too wanted to prove that it was a myth
Hi and welcome, I'm also a new member. I was also motivated by the fact that we've always been told our hair could not grow long and healthy. I never knew my natural hair was so manageable with proper care. I love it!! This board disproves that myth and its a inspiration to see all the ladies helping one another. I'd also like to thank the ladies for all their helpful hints.
Welcome. I wore my hair long in the past but have been wearing shorter lengths for some time. My daughter (8) is the only Black student in her class told me she wished her then shoulder length hair to grow to her waist like some of the other girls in her class. Well I told her that she could and that we could do it together. I started seaching for info on growing AA hair long and found my way here 4 1/2 months ago. Her hair has grown at least an inch per month. I also involved my other 2 daughters (2& 10) their hair is flourishing as well. I have gained so much length in such a short time. I am so glad that we dedcided to pursue this.
Welcome.... and...
I, myself always had long hair...I got lost along the way and for the first time in my life my hair was breaking and coming out...I wanted my hair back. I decided to go natural because I had thick shiney wavy hair as a child and wanted that again.
I had long hair when I was in my teens and decided that I would try to grow it long again in my 20s. I was in a slump when I couldn't find a stylist 4 1/2 years ago and my hair was a mess. I knew I had to get it back in shape and went back to my old regimens. I wanted extra info from my stylists once I found them, but they weren't much help, so I started surfing the net to see if I could improve my regimens. I came across this forum in March and here I am, learning as much as I can until I achieve my hair goal.
