Guanidine carbonate, the same as phyto. Which is probably why my hair doesn't feel like straw after relaxing.

I just switched to this perm after peeping someone elses pics and products. I really like it. I also use some of the other products as well, for me it is a keeper.
I could not afford the phyto-I may be worth it but I can't afford it.
