I can't remember how many weeks post I am now, probably 8-10. This new growth is getting on my last nerve. I tried to do a two strand twist/ with pincurl (not sure what it's called) and it came out like this :wallbash: My hair does look like a relaxer never even touched it. I currently texlax and I guess it is time for another treatment now. What is best to keep the ends and edges from looking frizzy? I wanna hold out at least another week if possible.

doesn't look bad to me either. I'm 8-10 weeks now as well, did corkscrews/bantu knots this week with conditioner on wet hair and took them out when it dried. the conditioner stopped the hair from looking frizzy.

Thanks, I will have to try it with conditioner next time. It's my own fault I guess, I only used coconut oil and 14in1. I didn't get my Aphogee leave in yet since the BSS didn't have it. Gotta go to Sally's next week. I was thinking it looked horrible :ohwell:

Girl stop trippin, it doesn't look bad. But if you insist.....I use Redken Water wax just use a little and those edges will lay down.

what are some great product sugestions to tame new growth? And the real question is does taming new growth start with the condtioner, leave-in or the moisturizer? (I'm so happy with my Hawiian Silky 14-n-1 so far, but I don't have a huge amount of new growth yet either to know how it will hang.) What have y'all experiences been?

Put your hair in 4 twisted or braided sections, conditioner poo with a good conditioner..one you use for deep cons..leave it for a while, maybe heat cap it. Comb each section separately, rinse, retwist, do each section the same way then finger comb until no kinks/knots, comb each section then style.

Hawaiian Silky's 14 in 1 works VERY well on new growth. I'm only 7 weeks post relaxer and I will be getting another one tomorrow. My new growth is soft, but my hair is too puffy! I can't do anything with it.
