New cheaper way to curl hair?

Ok well alot of people say that you can curl you hair in alot of ways...well during one of my youtube missons i found this....do you think it can work on our hair? tell me what you think

My grandmother does this, and it curls her hair.(her hair is long by the way)

I used to do that in middle school. It works well.

This isn't new. Actually, it's very old. This is how my grandmother rolled her hair when she was a young girl and if my grandmother was still alive she would be almost 90 years old. Back in the day they didn't have curling irons and my grandmama was too poor for rollers so this is what they did. I guess what they say is true everything they are doing now has already been done before.

my mom said before that it works and its pretty easy. but only my mom would have it done on her pressed hair. I would like to try on my hair without using a straightener Maybe you could stretch the hair then roll it with the paper bags:scratchch

My aunt used to do this in the 80s, the only issue is that the bags were drying to her hair.
