From my previous thread I was talking about the braider who was intent on RIPPING OUT my hair with her blowfryer, and I told her to stop, left with my hair half braided, and came back after blowing out my hair myself a couple of days after. Well after many stank looks and her attempting to touch the blow dryer again. I gave her one stank look and she stopped that real quick, its finished! :drunk: I think it looks nice, although I'm afraid that it may hinder my growth rather than help it :ohwell: I was reading up on the site and now of course after its done I see so many horror stories about braids and bald spots... :ohwell:

Well anyway, I took out the front because she was trying to attach braids to 3 strands of air at my edges and I like those very much thank you so I'd rather they weren't pulled out. I planned on spraying them daily with my water/glycerine mix but now I hear that glycerine is bad in the winter (?) so I guess I can try water/aloe vera juice (where are you ladies getting this in philly? they didn't have it at the whole foods on south when I went, does the vitamin shoppe have it? what brand?). I'm still not sure how I'm supposed to DC but i'll figure it out!

ignore that white piece of smutz, that was on my mirror, and I didn't notice until now

your braids look really cute.

i'm going to have to go back to your previous thread to find out why she was using a blow dryer on your hair in the first place... b/c that sounds weird. lol.

Those look very nice.
I don't DC while wearing braids.
You can get the Aloe Vera Juice at wal Mart it'll be over in the drugstore section where the Laxatives are. Usually it's on the bottom shelf. It's a big Gallon Jug.

i thought so too! but my sister told me it is because my hair is completely natural and they couldn't really part it that well, so they tried to blow it straight. DRY WITH NO PREP. :lachen:I told her to gtfo with that ish, and did it myself. its weird though no other braid shop has had to blowdry my hair before but then again, i've always been relaxed when I've gotten braids, so i dont know...

oh thank you!

also thank you for the tutorial I think I will be doing braids by myself from now on....I don't really like the professionals mindset.
