Hi Everyone:

Is it possible to wear a sew in weave and have hair edges (sides of head/back head) growth?

I wore a sewn in weave for 3 months and had enormous growth on my usually short sides and my edges which had always been thin came in thick. I must warn you though do not keep your sewn in weave more than 2 months, because of the enormous growth I got(5 in.) the hair on my crown only, dreaded and had to be cut off to about 1 inch. The hair in front and most of my head was about 12 inches so I just slicked it back and covered up the part that had to be cut until it grew back. My stylist recommended that I keep it in for 3 months and being new to weaves I listened. Needless to say I never went back to her.

Thanx Peachtree! Just wondering as I'm new to the board, how does everyone come up with their fornulas for what works with their hair, i.e. (vitamins, shampoos) etc.?

. At least for me.

Everyone here is very sharing with their "hair knowledge / experiences". This is really helpful when developing your own regime. It's like having a really good girlfriend "test" out products, regimes, techniqes on her own hair, then share her results with u. It's a wonderful lil world to be in
