....what's the difference between the two? I hope this isn't a silly question but I honestly don't know:look: . Can someone please explain the difference between the two? I have a clarifying poo (Keracare) and I have a neutralizing poo (ORS) but if they both do the same thing, than I would like to eliminate one of the two.

Thanks ladies!

neutralizing---is the process of lowering the ph in the hair after a chemical process.

clarifying---is the removing buildup ie product, mineral etc.

(I think I got that right)

Example: You have relaxed your hair and now you need to neutralize---(lower ph), but after your hair has dried you notice that your hair is still dry, crispy, not quite right. Well you may need to clarify because of the relaxer residue.

I wondered that too b/c I've read posts on here where people use a neutralizing poo b/f they do a protein or moisturizing treatment.

I assumed they did the same/similar thing. Or that a neutralizing poo--although used after a relaxer--also clarifies.
