I'm coming up on week 12. I can manage the new growth just fine, however, it's getting harder and harder to find ways to style around it or with it. For a while, I've been wearing a ponytail. It's nice, but I'm kind of getting tired of it not coming out right sometimes (I guess hair doing it's own thing). Anyway, I'm thinking about getting cornrows going up into a ponytail, that way all I have to do is wash, moisturize and airdry.

I'm asking for any suggestions you can add for me and members like me so that we'll have some idea of how to change it up from time to time.

Thanks.

Have you tried braidouts/twistouts or bantu knots? I wear those type of styles more often the further I am post-relaxer. It's both easier and healthier for me to get the straight hair to match the texture of my roots than vice versa.

I am in the same boat. I am like 20 weeks post and it's gettin RUFF!!!!! I am in the Army too, so I can't do everything with my hair that a lot of other folks can. A lot of uniform restrictions, ya know?

I would appreciate some input on this subject also.
